I was deeply saddened to learn of Patsy’s sudden and untimely death. I particularly remember Patsy and his brother Mel and Peter greg as a trio of keen pupils during our school days in Garrowhill National School. Patsy was a genial fellow; I happened to bump into him in Newtownforbes within the past two years, not having met him for many years, and it was as though no time had passed in the intervening years. On my own behalf and on behalf of the Longford Association-Dublin I extend my heartfelt condolences to his wife Breda and sons Gerard and John, his brother Mel, sister Mary, extended family and friends. Beannacht De lena anam dilis.
