I wish to extend my sympathies to pat's sisters Breda and Nuala and also to his brothers in law Jim and Michael. You may not remember me but I met you all back in the 1960 's. I started teaching in St Munchins in 1966, I think Pat started in 67 or 68. We were all impressed by his encyclopedic knowledge and his depth of knowledge on so many topics. I remember, Pat taught geography and would travel widely during his holidays. He was nervous about flying so was obliged to travel long and tired over land and sea. He returned one time and announced from then on, he would be flying to his destination. He had decided there was less chance of the airline killing him than the shipping companies. I hope to see you all again after the mass for Pat next Saturday. Joseph Lillis.
