We were so sorry and so sad to hear about Uncle Val's passing. We have nothing but fond memories of all the visits through the years... the excitement of the "Carolines" coming and Uncle Val ferrying us around for days on end doing the rounds visiting, always with patience and good humour. And all the time spent in Brackenbush, I will have nothing but the loveliest memories of dear Uncle Val. I am so proud to have been named after him.
He was a gem; a genuine, calm and gentle soul who was so loved, he was one of a kind and will be truly missed.
