Paul Black

We have only just heard the sad news of the death of Paul. He will be greatly missed in the parish where he contributed a lot. Our deepest sympathies to Colette and the Family.

So sorry to hear the very sad news of Pauls passing, my condolences to all the Black family, at this very difficult time. I have so many happy memories of your Dad, through the years. And often saw him out for his regular walks in Rathfarnham...may he rest in peace.

To Collette, Colette, Sharon, David and Ian; and the wider Black Family. It is with great regret that I learned of my friend Paul's death and I was even sadder at being unable to attend any of the liturgies around his passing due to work timetables. A man of enormous talents and energy and so well-liked - he made a significant impact in his retirement years on Ballyroan. Only on Saturday last did I hear some treasured stories from a colleague of Paul's in the 'rag-trade' - in which he was clearly held in great esteem. I hope that all the shared memories and stories will help to ease the pain of his loss for you all.

To Colette and family, thinking of you all at this time. Paul was a great man and will be very much missed, thinking of you all.

I was so very sad to hear about Paul’s death and to be honest I still can’t believe it. I’m so very sorry for you, dear Colette, and for your wonderful children and grandchildren. I knew Paul for many years and was blessed to share many happy times laughing and reminiscing about musical ventures. Paul was always so generous inviting me to sing in concerts he so beautifully organised, including our concert in the Ruah Centre last November…..I will never forget his kindness and support as well as his infectious laughter and wonderful stories. There will never be another like him. No doubt Paul is organising a host of angelic choristers to fill the heavens with glorious music! Rest in peace dearest, dearest friend. Speed your journey homewards.

I’m so, so sorry to hear about Paul's death. And yet, with the suffering he has endured, there has to be a sense of release.
