To the Brennan Family, Sarah and Susan
your dad was an utter gentleman. I feel very privileged to have known and worked with him in our time in The Cecilian Singers. His knowledge and expertise brought the choir to heights we had rarely seen. The end of an era. As the song says 'The Long Day Closes'.
RIP Paul
— Susan Mullen
A real gentleman rip

I remember Paul reading Treasure Island on a Friday afternoon. A great teacher!

I never forgot this great and totally committed man who taught me in the 60s. South Pacific, treasure Island,Peter and the Wolf and many more he taught to us with enthusiasm. I still remember his goodness. May he be in heaven now with the tuning fork and conductors baton, sweeping the hair off his face as he is teaching another classic.
— Friary past pupil
Tuning fork and going down to the Handy stores for rulers. Happy days. God rest him.
— John(Gerry) Toal

So very sad to hear of Paul’s passing. He was my teacher in Dromiskin National School, and I was always enthralled by his story- telling. He had charisma, and wit....I also remember fondly his father , who had the “ newspaper “ shop in Park Street....Fado, fado..,,!!...Rest in Peace Paul...You have given me ,and your past pupils , good memories

To Mary, Sarah, Susan and Sophie, I send you my sincere condolences on the sad passing of Paul.
I was lucky enough to have Paul as my 4th Class teacher. I will always remember and appreciate his once a week reading of "Treasure Island" (with character voices) which enthrawled us all completely.
May he enjoy his Peaceful Rest.
