From school bags and sandals, to stiletto’s, platforms and stylish leather boots Mr Campbell was a true Craftsman who extended the life of many my favourite leather goods. My own kids recall his skills as they watched him at work in the heart of Dundrum Village. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
Truly the end of an era in Dundrum. Paul’s skill and craftsmanship will be sorely missed in the village. RIP Paul and condolences to his loved ones.

A lovely picture and captures him so well. I am also a person who spent many years going to Campbells to get my shoes resoled and schoolbags mended. He always had time for a chat and was also was very straight and on a few occasions said "ah no I wouldn't bother" when I showed him some shoes! He was a fixture in Dundrum and will be missed and I am so sorry for his family.

Paul and Florie, Dundrum legends. Both knew what true customer service and community were. Always loved going there as a child and seeing the repair work. I think every boy in St Benildus got their George Webb shoes steel tipped there. Great friends also to my late dad, Joe. Their friendliness will always be remembered in Dundrum and beyond. RIP
