Dear Brenda and family:
Please accept our condolences on Paul's passing.

I have known Paul since the late fiftys or early sixtys when we first became friends. His home in St Helen's road became my second home where I was very welcome and spent a lot of time there with Paul, Tom, Dan, Rory and others chilling out.
I have great memories of those years in the "St Helen's Club".

Paul joined me in Canada 1966 and we had more good times there. He played a role in my coming to Canada and I will always thank him for that.

He was a very good loyal friend and will be sadly missed by his family and many friends.

Dear Brenda,
Whenever I came over to visit Richelle in Dublin after our university years, you and Paul always showed so much kindness. I loved Paul’s sense of humour and he always offered wise counsel. I hope, during this awfully sad time, that your memories of him and his love and devotion to you, that these memories will lift your hearts and fly with his. I’m so sorry that at this time we, nor I, can be there with you. It is rare that we get such private time to say goodbye to our immediate family. Sending love and hugs. Please know Richelle and Danielle, and indeed Jonathan and family, that I am always here for you. All our love and deepest sympathies, Tracy-Anne and family xxx

Dear Brenda,

I was so sorry to hear of your dear Paul's passing. In the end, it is always a shock despite those last health failing years. One needs mourning time, and in the current situation this time is stolen from you, as it is not possible to surround yourself with family and friends and reflect on all the memories and the good times, as only then can you manage to move on. We, too, can add to those good memories in sunny Greece.

My thoughts are with you all in this difficult and sad time and I do hope you have good support close at hand.

My deepest sympathy and heartfelt condolences,

Frances
My thoughts are with the family and friends who loved Paul. Although I did not have the joy of knowing him, I know his daughter Dannielle- her wit, her humor, her kind spirit , her professionalism and her drive to make the world a better place - and can fully imagine that she mirrors much of her Dad. Condolences from me and from the Greenpeace family.

R.I.P. Paul Taaffe.

My deep condolences to the family. I would like to share a
Yeats’s poem:

“Many times man lives and dies
Between his two eternities,
That of race and that of soul,
And ancient Ireland knew it all.
Whether man dies in his bed
Or the rifle knocks him dead,
A brief parting from those dear
Is the worst man has to fear.
Though grave-diggers' toil is long,
Sharp their spades, their muscle strong,
They but thrust their buried men
Back in the human mind again.“
Sincerest sympathy to Brenda, Jonathan, Richelle and Dannielle on the passing of Paul. A devoted husband, wonderful father and to the rest of us who knew him, a wonderful man with a great spirit, sense of adventure and wicked sense of humor. May he rest in peace.
