Paul Faughnan

Sincere and deepest condolences to Ann, Patricia, Brenda and Eimear on the loss of their beloved brother, Paul. So many happy memories of visiting my late and great friend Brian and the Faughnan family in Lanesboro back in the day throughout the 1970's. Rest in everlasting peace, Paul.

Paul often visited us from next door in Lanesboro during my time there.
He was well known and loved by all in those early days.

Today myself and my son passed the spot where Paul sat for many years of our passing on the school run.There was a man sitting beside the monk. We had to resist the urge to stop and say you can't sit there that's Paul's seat. We were so shocked and saddened to hear of his passing.His presence will never be forgotten. I'm so sorry for your loss. And so sad to see that seat absent without him as we pass.

Sincere condolences to all of Paul's sisters on the death of their younger brother. We remember him fondly as we do of their dear brother Brian and their wonderful parents. Brian's love of cars and care for his brother obviously passed on to Paul that same passion. Their knowledge could not be surpassed. We are pleased to say that the Brian's godson, our son Sean has taken up the mantle as he too has a huge interest. They are sadly missed by us but the great times and memories we had with them will never be forgotten.

A welcome fixture on the streets of the town, notebooks and pen in hand. It would be a lovely touch if some of those notebooks and a photo of Paul at work were to make it into the planned Mullingar museum some day. A town and its history is nothing without the stories or recognition of its people.
