Paul GLEESON

It was with great sadness that I learned ofPaul's death.

Paul was an exceptional person in all aspects of his life, a loyal and trusted colleague who was also a close friend for many years. There are many fond memories of working together at home and abroad during our days together in RTE. Paul will long be remembered by all those he encountered during his lifetime. May he rest in peace.

My thoughts are with Imelda, Orna and the family at this time.

Orna, I express my deepest sympathy to you and your Mother on the death of your Father. I only saw it on Facebook today. I can remember well how welcome he made us all on your 21st birthday and he was taking loads of photographs of you.

Deepest sympathy Orna & family on the passing of your dad Paul. I'm sorry I did not make it to sympathise in person. You are in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. May your dad rest in eternal peace.

I learned with great sadness of Paul's death. I was his P.A in Agricultural Programmes until I left RTE - Paul and Imelda were at our wedding all those years ago. I remember him with great fondness - he was a a joy to work and travel with, a thorough gentleman and great fun. We shared many laughs both at home and abroad and he always managed to make great programmes. Sincere condolences to all the family.

So sorry to read of Paul’s death. We were childhood friends our families were neighbours & friends. Paul was never short of bright ideas so I was never surprised at the wonderful success he made of his life.

He was many things to many people - from racing enthusiast and mechanic to essentially a professional photographer (many of his photos adorn the walls of our home ) ........was there anything this guy could not do ........but he mainly concentrated on being a great husband to Imelda and dad to his Orna , a loving grandfather to James and Carrie, and a great friend to all of us that needed his help.

To Imelda, Orna and Barry, our deepest sympathy on Paul's passing. We have many happy family memories with Paul. Early Easter morning breakfasts in Kilarney. Many Christmas mornings were saved by his midnight return journeys to help Santa. And his signature Aran bobble hat at the mudplugs. Himself and Dad were quiet the duo.
