I wish to offer sincere sympathy to Paul's friends and family in the event of his untimely passing. I fondly recall our participation in Macra na Feirme competitions at Clonakilty Show in the 1970s. On one particular occasion heavy rain overnight created a pool of water in the roof of the tent. Our Secretary, Kitty Moyles, decided to clear the water from the roof by poking it with a stick. Paul was a curious onlooker whose smile was wiped out by a very unexpected cold shower of water down on the top of his head! It only cemented our relationship. May he rest in peace.
