Paul Maguire

My sincere condolences to Paul’s family. May you be surrounded by the warmth of dear ones in this difficult time. Prayers and thoughts go your way from Italy. Paul was a gentleman and much respected by all who knew him during his time at Enterprise Ireland, Milan. He often spoke fondly of his beautiful family who he loved dearly. God bless. My sincere condolences to the Maguire family on the passing of Paul. I had the pleasure of working with Paul over a number of years both in my time in Irish Water and currently in the OGP. Paul was an outstanding professional, a great person to provide advice and guidance and was always generous with his time. He was an absolute gentleman to deal with and I will sadly miss him and the valuable contributions he made in our work together. May he rest in peace.

I recall Paul sharing the following quote at an EI team meeting. He always added something different and interesting to those gatherings.

"Les trois grandes époques de l’humanité sont l’âge de la pierre, l’âge du bronze et l’âge de la retraite.”

Sadly he did not experience La Retraite but he certainly lived life as the many fabulous tributes from his EI colleagues bear witness to. May he rest in peace.

He was a charming man, a terrible joke teller and someone who carried his many talents lightly.
