Sorry to hear of Paul’s passing. We spent our school years together when it seemed like every second kid in our class was called Paul!

My sincere condolences. I had the privilege of knowing Paul through Lansdowne tennis club, where he welcomed me when I joined, coming from Morocco. I had the chance to play with him many times, and I can say he was truly a kind and brave person. His warmth and spirit will be missed by all who knew him. My thoughts are with his loved ones during this difficult time.

To all the McDonald family, especially Anne Marie whom I met last June, it is with great sadness I write this note: I was lucky to spend a lot of time with Paul in my late twenties, he was intelligent, kind and had a very honest take on life, he was great fun and his cerebral banter was a gift I will remember and take with me

I knew Paul from a very early age. Great Tennis player and Rugby player with Railway union. I was in the FCA with him too and had a memorable trip with great crack to Cork 1981.

I know how much you all adored him. Paul was a beautiful soul inside & out and the most loyal, sincere and caring friend.
