My deepest condolences to Paul's family on his passing. I only recently heard of Paul's passing as I retired last summer and hadn't been in regularly to visit former colleagues in the canteen. I was quite shocked to hear the news. Even though I didn't work with him, I, like many others. in
AG House, got to know him over the years and became familiar with his boundless energy and positivity and willingness to engage with people.
To Helen, Doreen, Ann, Trish, Colin, Ellen and family
I'm so sorry for the loss of Paul at such a young age. He was always the biggest messer in the room. I remember him frightening the life out of me several times in Collins Ave while we were hanging out in Helen's bedroom!!!
Thinking of you all at this very difficult time.
May he rest in peace
I am devastated to hear of Paul's passing.
My sincere condolences to Mr & Mrs Morrissey & the entire family at this terrible time.
Paul & I were best friends in Collins Park when we were kids and he then moved up to Collins Avenue. All the memories I have of Paul are all good ones(Not a bad one in sight) and I remember Paul as a bright light in my childhood. As we got older we moved away from each other as adulthood takes over, but the memory of Paul & I riding around on bikes we cobbled together attempting wheelies and failing spectacularly will always live with me. I bumped into Paul in the Carlton Hotel last year with my son and we both promised to contact each other, but it was not to be. Although we didn't get to meet and talk about our time as kids in Collins Park and the adventures that young fellas get up to as they are entering their teens, I hope that Paul looked back at those times as fondly as I do. I only found out about Paul's passing today and I am saddened that I could not pay my proper respects to him in time. To Pauls partner Sarah & daughter Ellen, I am so happy that he got the opportunity to have you in his life and again my deepest sympathies on his loss. Rest in peace Paul.
To the Morrissey family deepest condolences. Paul See you on the dark side of the moon...
Colin I’m very sorry to hear of the loss of your brother. Thinking of you, Kellie and your entire family at this sad time. May he rest in eternal peace ❤️

Doreen, Paddy, Ann, Trish, Colin, Helen and Ellen,

I am absolutely devasted for your loss and I'm thinking of you all at this difficult time. Paulie was a work buddy, gym buddy and lunch buddy. He was also a good friend.
We had lunch together Tuesday 4th March at work and little did we know it was to be the last.
I smile when I think of Paulie at our gym classes and how he’d break into a dance during our fitness classes when he couldn’t coordinate the fitness moves or when he’d try to knock me off balance.
When he got word of how well he did on the AP panel he couldn’t wait to tell his dad, Paddy, knowing he would be so proud. Paulie spoke about his family a lot and how close you were and loved you all. He doted on Ellen and spoke so fondly of Sarah and how Ellen couldn’t have had a better mother.
Some of his last words to me were about how Doreen, his mam, was so amazing and strong. My thoughts are with you all.

Love ya and miss ya Paulie. Rock on dude.
My deepest sympathies to the Morrissey family and Pauls wider circle of friends. I got to know Paul through my father Colm, with whom he worked in the Department of Agriculture. He was influential in my musical taste during my teens and was kind enough to lend me a bass guitar while I was a beginner. Always the life and soul of the room, he will be sorely missed.

Rock hard, ride free.
Paul remained a constant source of positive energy from when I knew him in Gandon House in the early 90s, to when he was a colleague in DAFM in later years. Sincere condolences to Paul's family, friends and loved ones
First an apology, I dropped into Lanigans on Friday with every intention of giving my sincere condolences to Paul's family and perhaps listen to and share a story or two. However, and here's why I must apologise, when I arrived and saw Paul's picture, his guitar and the legend himself lying there I was completely overwhelmed with the realisation that this was actually happening. That this great man was indeed gone. I was suddenly unable to put a sentence together. I shook Colin's hand but nothing more than the inadequate "sorry for your loss" was all I could say. Although I did manage to speak briefly to Paul's sister Patricia, I think it was.
I can only try to imagine what you must all be going through. There are no words although Colin made a tremendous effort capturing the man in his eulogy. I didn't know Paul as well or as long as I would have liked but he was a breath of fresh air when you met and chatted with him. We were both bikers.
I remember when he broke his leg awhile back but still went on holidays. When he returned he showed me a photo. There he was, in California, sun beaming, hair in the wind, his leg in a cast, riding a harley with that big infectious smile. Living it large. Unstoppable. That's how I will remember him. A free spirit to all! Once again my deepest heartfelt condolences to you all on the devastating loss of Paul. One of a kind. He will be immensely missed - Dec (DAFM)
Paul was a light in the lives of all who knew him. He made everything 100% more fun. Always up for the craic but there when you needed him in hard times too. I'll miss him terribly. Condolences to all the Morrissey family and to the loves of his life Sarah and Ellen.
Shocked and saddened to hear the news. Blessings to the family.

My deepest condolences to Paul's family. Paul was always enthusiastic and happy to help us out with the PA system for choir gigs and events in Ag House. He looked after our guitar well whenever he borrowed it too. God Bless buddy.

Paul will be sincerely missed, as a work colleague and a friend to many. He brought happiness and enthusiasm with him wherever he visited; he was a man who rarely strolled somewhere, he bounded there, and swept people along with him as he went. His absence is deeply felt.
Our deepest condolences to all of Pauls family. An incredible presence in Agriculture House and previously in Gandon. Always someone that people smiled with. Made friends everywhere he went. We will all miss him. The photo captures Paul perfectly.

My heartfelt condolences to Paul's family, Ellen, and Sarah. Paul is unique and he was a wonderful colleague; and I feel fortunate to have had the pleasure of working with him at DAFM. His humour, musical talent, passion for motorbikes and the love he shared about Ellen will always be remembered. May his beautiful soul rest in eternal peace.
So sorry to hear of Paul's passing .
He was such a great person and was always so upbeat and full of life and you would always be happy to be in his company.
My thoughts are with his family & friends .
Rest in peace Paul.
I am very sad to hear of Paul's passing. I met him several years ago when he came over to help out John and Trish with the St. Patrick's festivities at Molly Malone's. He continued to come to Florida for years after that. It was always good to see him as he was a very positive individual who just made you feel good to be around him. In recent years he would bring his daughter Ellen with him. When she got up to sing "I'll Tell Me Ma" you could see how proud he was of her. The crowd loved it too and Paul of course would have a big smile on his face.
I think he had that gift of bringing a bit of sunshine wherever he went. We're not all given that gift, but I think Paul had it. St. Pat's won't be quite the same without him.
My heartfelt sympathy to the Morrissey family and extended family. This must be a terrible loss for you all. May the great memories of Paul be a comfort in this very sad time.

Rest in Peace

I am so very shocked and saddened to hear of Paul's untimely passing. Paul was such a great character and cheered me up every time I saw him. We spent countless lunchtimes over the last 8 years in the gym in Baggot Street together and I gave myself countless near heart attacks trying to keep up with him.

I will miss you very much my friend. The world is not as bright without you in it.
