So very sorry to hear of Paul’s passing - I am a regular at Napoli & just saw his photo. Always a gentleman & so professional. Sincere condolences to his family & all the staff at Napoli. May Paul rest in peace.

Always loved how Paul created and ran Cafe di Napoli - cheerful and completely reliable, whether it was for family or friends or work meals - since our company moved in around the corner, Cafe di Napoli was our informal boardroom too. Must have drunk thousands of di Napoli's coffees over the years as well, to say nothing of one of the earlier, excellent, chefs who gave me enough info about pizzas to start worrying about how to cook them properly.

Was at the Cafe last night and saw Paul's photo near the till and checked and saw the news.

Our condolences to Paul's family and our sincere respect to Paul and his work for a job well done.

Paul was a key person in bringing Science Gallery to life on Pearse Street, bringing his caffe di napoli flair to create our cafe. His irrepressible enthusiasm and sense of fun will be greatly missed. Sincere condolences to Monica and all his family and friends.

So very sad to learn of the passing of Paul , he was a gentleman a professional to his fingertips a great personality and helped all those he encountered in little and big ways. He " got it " as they say , he was very kind to my son whom he employed for work experience back in the day. Old School in the very best sense, a pleasure to have known him RIP

Sincere condolences to Monica, Stephen and all of Paul’s family on his passing. Paul was great - always a kind, generous and supportive man in every way and always fun and full of devilment. I have many great memories with him in our time at the Science Gallery in Trinity College and also eating (and a few too many Limoncellos) at Il Caffe Di Napoli. I am very sad to hear of Paul’s passing but glad to have known him as a friend.

I've known Paul since he opened
Café di Napoli back in 2004(?) and I have been a happy and loyal customer ever since....it's very much part of my daily routine. Regularly having the chats with Paul has always made the experience so personable. I will miss him. But such is Life ; ride-on Paul !
