PAUL O'CONNELL

I just heard today from one of his sisters of the sad news of Paul's death. RIP. What a lovely man he was. I only knew him for a few years, I work in a shop in Mayo and bought lots of chimney plugs from him. He was such an interesting guy and kept me up to date on his voluntary work with the Chernobyl cause. To all his family and friends please accept my condolences. I'm so sorry for your loss.

So shocked and sad to hear of Paul's passing. He was a true gent. He always lended a hand when needed. Very giving and caring. Only knew Paul for about 6 years... Even went rollerskating together. What a skater he was... My family and I got to know him over the years. Truly he will be missed.... Sleep well Paul... My condolence to all his family. X

Paul o Connell was exceptional. He never stopped helping people, his ,friends,
His ,neighbours, his family. He reached out voluntarily to the children of Chernobyl ,using his trade to build bedroom accommodation in the orphanages. Paul was an agreeable and decent guy . Much loved by his family and friends

Dear relatives and friends of Paul,

We are very sorry that a man like Paul left the earth. The earth became impoverished for another outstanding person who devoted his life to help others. We thank God for the help he provided to the Father's House. His contribution to The Greater Chernobyl Cause is hard to overestimate. It is written in the Bible that his deeds follow him. Heaven has been enriched by such a man who will stand face to face with God to intercede for all of us who are still here on the Earth.

Please accept our condolences. This is a great loss, but with tears in our eyes, we have the hope that we will meet in eternity and will be able to rejoice together of the fruits of good deeds, thanks to the combined efforts of many. There are not enough people like Paul on our earth.

Went to secondary school for a while with Paul and Greg and shared many the adventure. A pair of gents,who got me out of a many a scrape, did leave me up a tree once tho.

I’m so sorry to hear of the passing of Paul. I served my apprenticeship with him from 2006 to 2009 or there about. We even lived together above a pub in skibbereen as we were working on a house nearby and the travel from the city was too far. We got food and board in exchange for a bit of work around the place and Paul was always a good laugh and great chat. I even recall hitting the nightclubs with him. I learned so much in my time working with Paul and I had a lot of respect for him. Thanks to him I’ve managed to forge myself a good life in New Zealand and am forever grateful for everything he taught me. Sending all of my condolences , especially to his children who i never met but heard so much about. Rest In Peace Paul, gone but never forgotten
