I was incredibly saddened to hear about Paul's passing. During the last 22 years I had the pleasure and privilege of working with him on a regular basis. Paul was one my favourite colleagues due to his kindness, calm demeanour and smartness. I will always cherish the wonderful memories I had with Paul.

I had the pleasure of working with Paul in my very first department at SAP, back when MM was still one big team. Although we did not collaborate closely on many topics, I always appreciated our encounters.

Paul was always friendly and fun to be around. Whether meeting in the coffee corner or passing in the hallways, he always had a kind word to share and a warm presence that made the day a little brighter for the people around him.

My heartfelt condolences go out to his family and loved ones. He will be remembered fondly.

I am writing this with a heavy heart, still struggling to process the shocking news of Paul’s passing. Words truly fail me right now, but I felt it was important to reach out and share what a profound impact he had on my life.

Paul was more than just a colleague to me; he was one of my closest friends. Our journey together at SAP spanned many years. We started in the same team early in my career, and when our paths crossed again in a new department years later, he was the one who took me under his wing. I count myself incredibly lucky to have benefited from his enormous knowledge and professional guidance.

However, what I will treasure most is the deep friendship that grew during that time. Paul had a way of making everything better with his quiet, Irish serenity. I will deeply miss his unique sense of humor, his constant willingness to help, and his "open ear"—whether we were discussing complex business matters or our private lives. He was a man of exceptional character and honesty—someone you could always rely on implicitly. Paul was truly a man of his word, and that level of integrity is rare to find. Above all, it was his genuine humanity that set him apart.

The office will feel empty without him, and his absence leaves a void that cannot be filled. Please know that Paul was a true friend to me, and I will do my best to keep his memory alive in my thoughts and heart.

Paul introduced me to Jools Hollands‘ Hootenanny on New Year‘s Eve. A custom I didn’t know about. We celebrated this on various occasions and had so much fun together. This will stay in my mind and so many other moments we shared.
My love goes out to Monika, Neil and Lynn and to all those who miss him.

I had the privilege to work with Paul for five years. He was both a mentor and a good friend, and simply one of the kindest and wittiest people I've met in my life.

We were lucky enough to stay in touch even after I left the team, to grab coffee together regularly, to catch up, to complain, and to just talk about life as you do between friends.

The sad news hit me unexpectedly and makes me very sad. My sincere condolences go out to his family and friends, whom I wish the strength to cope with this loss.

I had the pleasure of getting to know Paul in 2004 while working in Germany. We sat opposite each other in the office for many years and worked closely together. I not only valued his technical expertise and professional work, but we also talked about many other things, sharing experiences, insights and emotions. Paul became more than a good colleague, he became a friend.

I will always remember Paul fondly.

It is still a great shock and disbelief. I worked with Paul for more than 20 years in a team. He was the one who trained me 26 years ago. I always liked and appreciated Paul very much. In his calm way, with his wealth of experience and skills, he was always a firm support for me. In our small Team Paul was a having a big part and he is truly missed.

All the time, we kept contact and long time of this long period we were even working close together in the same team in Germany.

He shaped our success over many years, and his absence leaves a void that will be felt deeply throughout the entire organization at work.
