I met Paul back when he moved to Ennistymon and transfered to B Coy, 22nd Inf Batt back in the day. We had some craic around Lahinch and in other camps. Paul had a great sense of humour and will be sorely missed around not just Lahinch, but everywhere he was known.

I’m so sorry to hear of Paul’s passing. We met Paul a lot while out and about over the years, whether he was in the shop or on the door in numerous businesses. Paul worked hard & diligently and was always kind and professional in his dealings.

It is with deep sadness that I send my condolences to the family of Sgt. Paul Ryan. I had the privilege of serving alongside Paul since we joined the FCA in Lahinch, right up to the parade in Fanore for St. Patrick’s Day earlier this year. He was great company whether travelling to events, during training, or on the range, always sharing stories (and the occasional tall tale) about our experiences. Paul had a unique way of highlighting the O/C’s mistakes with great enthusiasm, and it always brought good humour to our days. It was truly a pleasure and an honour to serve with him.
