Heaven’s gain, our loss. First got to know him from working the Burlo and went to see him perform in Dundrum Theatre - Joxer had nothing on him. Paul fell in love with my sister Helen when they were both teenagers. He loved her 'til death do us part'. She will continue to love him. God bless you both.
So sorry to hear of Paul's passing. He was a gent to know, a pleasure to share a stage with, and direct. As was said in his eulogy, the characters he played often became versions of himself. But larger than life and wonderful characters they became because of that! RIP Paul.
Saddened by the news of Paul's passing. Fond memories of Paul at the races throughout the years. Condolences to the Sharpe family.RIP.
I was shocked and saddened to hear of Paul's passing. I got to know him through Balally Players, where he was as friendly to new members as he was to those he knew for decades. I particularly enjoyed the salutation he often delivered on arrival, delivered in the manner of a character from Synge's Playboy of the Western World: 'God bless all here.' He was a unique and lovely man and he added greatly to Balally Players, not only through his acting but also in his kindness and sociability.

My Deepest condolences to all The Sharpe family on the passing of Paul.Heaven has gained A New,Bright Shining Star. That will Forever Shine in all of Our Hearts.R.I.P Paul
Deepest condolences to Helen and all the family at this difficult time. I'd always love bumping into Paul, whether at play readings, backstage between scenes, or him simply walking his grandkids in Marlay Park. He'd usually have a funny story to recount in his own inimitable style that involved a combination of mime, mock indignation and laughter, punctuated by a regular, "d'ye know, like?". He was a gem. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam uasal.

So sad to hear that news. Paul was a great raconteur , jolly and bouncy . He would not countenance knockers (people who would not pay) .He often cheered me up on a dull dark depressing day , and leave me laughing merrily. I will miss him, sleep peacefully Paul rip
Husband, father, grandfather, actor, writer, director, confidant, friend, mentor, raconteur. The many parts that Paul played in a life well lived. Each part played with commitment, dedication and devotion.
Paul was the very epitome of ‘some man for one man’. His passing leaves a huge hole in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Sincere condolences to Helen and the Sharpe family.
