Deepest sympathies to all Paul's family
I worked with Paul in Brennan's for a few years and always remember him as a true Gentleman and character who left a lasting impression.
RIP Paul
I am saddened to only hear of Pauls' passing today. A man with a zest for life and sharp wit. God rest his soul and give his family and friends strength at this difficult time. Ar Dheis De go raibh a hanam.
Siobhan, Charlie, Rebecca & extended family.
My thoughts are with you during this difficult time. I worked with the legend "Tonge" in Brennan 's for a number of years. Paul will be sorely missed by staff and customers. A pleasure to have met a trooper like Tonge. Louise Gerrard
Dear Siobhan, I was so, so sorry to hear that your beloved Paul had died.
My brother , John, only heard the news last Monday, so I didn't know in time to be able to attend his Funeral Mass.
What a lovely, friendly and genuine man Paul was.He was one of the first people I met when I came to St. Gabriel's.We used to bump into each other when out walking-He would never just say "hello" and continue on his way.Instead he would start to chat-until his beloved dog wanted him to move on!
There are no words which I can say to you, Rebecca and Charley which could touch your broken hearts. All I can do is to promise to remember you in my prayers.May Paul's gentle soul be at peace.
With sincere sympathy to you all-Mary Byrne
Just today I learned of Paul’s passing and was very saddened to hear the news. My sincere condolences to his family—Siobhan, Rebecca, Charley—and the wider Tonge family.

Paul was a very affable and helpful person, with a genuine sense of community.
I have fond memories of great conversations back when he and Chester were such an integral part of the everyday landscape of St Gabriels.

May Paul rest in peace.
To all the family, sending love and comfort. In the short time I knew “Tonge” in Shankill GAA, he had an immediate impact on the team with his knowledge and experience. Getting to know his sense of humour at the start was good fun and always looked on the positive side of life no matter what he was going through, sometimes needing to be forced to rest! I learned so much from him, always had great chats and spoke so lovingly about his family. He will be dearly missed by many, and no doubt he’s had such a positive impact on peoples lives through sport. Take care, Hazel
So sorry to my nephew Paul's family on your loss Rest in Peace

Sincere condolences to you all. Tonge was such a lovely guy,
always with a big smile and a funny story. He was an integral part of St Gabriels, a wonderful neighbour and will be hugely missed, particularly out walking his dog and keeping an eye on everything ! He adored you all, his face lighting up when speaking about you. He will always be fondly remembered. May he now rest in peace.
Dear Siobhán, Rebecca & Charley,
Our deepest sympathies on the passing of Tonge. I will miss our many conversations on the side of a match pitch, during training sessions, or over a pint in Seapoint RFC. He was never short of an opinion, and that is what made conversation with him so good.
He always did the right things for the right reasons, and there are so many GAA teams that have benefitted from his knowledge, time and expertise. He will be sadly missed by so many, and we know he will continue to watch over us from above.

Dear Siobhán, Rebecca & Charley. Words cannot express how I feel on hearing about Paul's passing. Tonge, as everyone knew him, was one of my best "GAA buddies" from FoxCab, and we worked closely together for many years introducing new kids to Gaelic football in our Academy and at our Summer camps. Paul engaged so well with every team he coached and managed, and I personally witnessed the fruits of his gargantuan efforts. He was such a likeable guy with an abundance of charisma, and embraced his day to day sporting duties with vigour and enthusiasm. Going to miss our 'cups of tea' with Jane and yourself, and just having you around the place. RIP Sir

Paul was just a genuine soul, always so kind to others.
I was lucky to know Paul or ' Tongey' during early teenage years in Churchtown.
Paul was the best craic, always up for some kind of mischief!! Last time I met him we were all grown up. It was only a short while ago at Carl's father's removal.
It was so good to see Paul's warm smile, even though he was going through a tough time health wise he never complained about it.
His sense of humor never dwindled.
Take care
Love
