I knew Pauline as my mother's friend and as one of the Blackrock Swimming Ladies. She was always a pleasure to meet and great company and a valued support for those around her. Pauline was a rock of sense.

I know from friends of mine who worked with Pauline in the Neonatal Unit that she was a great colleague and friend to the Nurses and to the families who were treated there.

Pauline was a positive presence and will be really missed by those who knew her.

May she have her deserved Rest in Peace.

I was so so sorry to hear about paulines passing.she was a beautiful lady and a fantastic nurse.i will never forget her kindess to us when both our children were in her care in the PBU.. and both very sick. Her kindness and reassurance to us always was ,100%.. when I'd meet her she still ask about her babies lol...god bless you pauline one of the best..sincere sympathy to her family..

I was very sad to hear of Pauline’s passing yesterday. She brought great joy, energy and sense to everyone who had the pleasure of her company. Pauline always lit up when she mentioned Oonagh, Brendan and Sean, the loves of her life. I will miss her wonderful presence in Blackrock and know she will enjoy calm and warm seas in heaven. My condolences to the Henry and Cahill Families.

Pauline loved people and people loved Pauline. Whether along Canal Road, in town, in Blackrock she cheered us all up.

I’m so sad to read of Pauline’s passing. I met Pauline as a student and then staff in GUH. She was one of the pillars of SCBU at the time. Her kindness, gentle nature, her absolute dedication to those lucky enough to be in her care was an inspiration to all junior staff feeding through the system. Thank you for your kindness.

John and I want to extend our sincere sympathy to all of Pauline's family. We just heard the sad news this afternoon. Walking along the Canal path will never be the same again. Pauline was part of that walk for both of us. We will miss her company as she always had time for a chat and she was concerned for everybody. Ní bheidh a leithéid ann arís.

Our warm, gentle, kind-hearted neighbour and good friend has gone too soon, and we will miss her so very much. Unlike the gardener in Robert Louis Stevenson’s poem who ‘did not love to talk’, Pauline loved to chat. You always had the feeling you were the only one there even when others had also stopped to talk. And still she got the garden done, everything looking so beautiful and colourful and natural. We will always remember her, and miss her as much as still we miss Tom. Rest in peace, Pauline.

I had the honour of looking after Pauline in her final days in UCHG, and fondly remember her calling into the Galway bay hotel with her lovely friends weekly for coffee. She had a heart of gold and was such a kind and witty woman who fought until the end. Thinking of her family at this devastating time. Rest in Peace Pauline ❤️
