I was very saddened to hear about Pauline’s untimely passing. I was lucky enough to have trained under Prof Marren in the Dermatology dept in UHG. She was always so kind, encouraging and supportive. Condolences to Padraic and family. May she rest in peace.

I was so sorry to hear of your wife’s passing . May she rest in peace.

Prof Marren was my Doctor in Dermatology UHG for many years. She was the nicest, kindest, warmest Doctor to go into. And brilliant at her work. Often saying something funny also. She never made a patient feel small, stupid or insignificant. I cannot imagine your huge loss. My sincere condolences to all her family. Prof Marren rest in peace now. Your work is done.

Pauline was far more than my classmate in Summerhill College Athlone. On my arrival in 5th year she befriended 'an outsider which meant so much during my school days. Pauline was generous with a great sense of fun. Post Leaving Certificate we spent on a working holiday in Fort William Scotland of which I have great memories. Pauline was acknowledged by all as a highly academic young woman. It was whilst we were in Scotland that she received her fantastic examination results. Pauline wore her academic prowess lightly, I am aware that she became a brilliant doctor as reflected in the many tributes to her.
Pauline and my path have not crossed for many years and I was abroad when I heard for her untimely death. May I offer my sincere condolences to Pauline's husband Padraic, to her children, to her sisters Hilary and Maire and to her brother Robert. Requiescat in Pace.

Sending my sincere condolences. I was very sorry to hear this sad news. I trained in Dermatology in Oxford/Amersham…it was a very happy time. I have such fond memories of working with Pauline (and of her organising some plastic surgery sessions with Padraig also!)….and of joining them both on a Dowling trip to Dublin. Pauline was such a lovely person…a very supportive consultant…and such great company. She will be very much missed by many xxxx
