To Pauline’s family, I was very saddened to learn of Pauline’s passing- she was the first person I met when I started in the NSS 18 years ago and was such a lovely, kind and helpful colleague - may she rest in peace

I was so sad to hear of my good friend and work colleague Pauline's passing. I will never forget her kindness and great sense of humour. We worked together in the HSE. She always had a smile on her face and time for everyone. She was a lady and taught me so much. Nothing was a bother to her. You will be sorely missed. Forever in my heart until we meet again. My head is full of memories of childhood summers in Rathmullan. A small gang of cousins in and out of the caravan and the Coast Guard Station, down to the shore, or around the corner to Miss Harkin's for sweets. We raided Mary's wardrobe for the costume competition on Regatta weekend, entered our smaller cousins to the Bonnie Baby competition, built sandcastles and jumped off the black rock. I have a distinct memory of all of us crowded around a tiny telly in the Caravan to watch Live Aid on the hottest day - the ultimate 80s moment. All with Pauline leading the charge, the life and soul.
Latterly, she's the one who did the quiet acts of kindness, the best kind, for my aunts, or my parents, despite her ill-health.

We loved her and will miss her. Deepest sympathies to all in Rathmullan.
