We have many happy memories of our times in the Helm Hotel with Pauline and Harry where we celebrated our wedding and where I played music with the Helmsmen for many years and we ran Irish Nights once a week for many summers.

We are so sorry to hear of her passing she will be sadly missed. Pauline was so welcoming when we called to visit her she would cheer anyone up with her bright smile and would make sure we couldn’t leave without having a cup of tea and a nice treat. A genuinely lovely neighbour.

My sincere sympathy to the O'Mara family on the death of your lovely mother Pauline. I have great memories of the Helm Hotel seeing as it was just over the road from us. Going there every Sunday before dinner with my father when I was young, where he would have a pint or two with our neighbours ( all gone to their eternal rest now) and later working there whenever there was a function. When we moved out of Crosshaven your late father did a painting of Roches Point for us, which hangs in my house today. Whenever you're parents were passing through Mallow they always called to see my late father and mother. The O'Mara's and The Helm Hotel conjure up great memories of happier times. May your lovely mother Pauline rest in peace.
