Dear Arthur
My deepest condolensces to you and your family. I worked with Pauline in Tallaght Primary Care. She had an overwhelming energy driven by her obvious love of people. She injected colour and life in the Russell Centre and surrounding health centres when she introduced carefully selected plants into the previously drab waiting areas, clinical spaces and offices. The biggest surprise for me was the personal touch with the bonsai that she ordered specially for my desk following a brief conversation we had many months before. She listened and she cared. She gave me advice at a time of great need. I still follow that advice to this day.
She spoke of you and the family with great love and admiration and she praised your jam which complimented her gorgeous scones. A sweet, tasty match made in heaven. I hope you and your family will take comfort in knowing how many lives she touched.
I only heard, with shock, about Pauline’s passing this week and I’m so sorry for your loss my prayers and support are with you all.
I worked with Pauline as a rep for HC21 and not only was she a great person to work with but we had fun doing what is a difficult job. I found Pauline extremely professional and always had the clients best interest at heart. May she rest in peace.
Arthur, so sorry to hear of the loss of your wife, Pauline. Condolences to all the family and friends.
To The Family
so sorry to hear of Pauline's death. We studied together in OT college. At a young age she held definite beliefs and confident of where she was going. I'm glad but not surprised to see she lead such a full and giving life
May she rest peacefully
Dear Arthur, Lisa and all of Pauline’s family and loved ones. I just wanted to write to say you’re in my thoughts as you mourn Pauline. Her celebration of life service was so very beautiful, down to the purple and pavlova. What was most touching was the vast breadth of Pauline’s impact on everyone she interacted with in the many areas of her life - you could see how people wanted to mark how she had brought spark and inspiration to the them as she worked with, knew socially, mentored, showed warmth and hospitality to, grew up with, sang with, played with them, in all the facets of her impactful life. When I texted a school friend to make sure someone knew, she told me how Pauline had taken her under her wing during her OT training and hosted her first placement. A thing I’d never have known. There’s so many stories like this. Having benefited immeasurably from the support of OTs in my own health recovery, I’m picturing all these links and marvelling at how in a quiet way it’s possible to touch people’s lives without ever knowing it. I remember being struck by Pauline’s wonderful hospitality in my own student days at Grosvenor, knowing nothing of the above!

I hope you continue to feel the love everyone who knows you has for you, and that your many many wonderful memories give you moments of joy in the midst of missing Pauline. Sending love, Brendan
I sang with Pauline in Seafield singers for over a decade. She had a beautiful voice and I have an abiding memory of her purple or pink plastic water bottle which she always had on hand to keep hydrated during practice and concerts. Rest in Peace Pauline. Sincere sympathies to all her loved ones.
Dear Arthur, Fiona and family. Thinking of you all.
I loved listening to Paulines adventures in Shetland, she always made me feel close to home. I also loved listening to her stories of her adored grandchildren Jacob and Cian and of course Fiona and Arthur. The Russell building has not been the same since Pauline moved to Curlew. A lot less bright and a lot less purple! The OT world has lost one of the very best and she will be remembered in our hearts forever.
My condolences to Pauline’s family. I worked with Pauline in Kildare/West Wicklow in 2009/2010. She was always so proud of her family and her love for occupational therapy and all things purple was infectious.

Pauline played piano for most of my music exams in the 80s and 90s. She was a great accompanist and very patient.

But I mostly remember the long chats with Pauline between the music. She had a wonderful sense of humour and a balanced, practical outlook towards life. She had an interest in early music (medieval/early baroque) at the time and kept trying to get me to listen to it. Due to Pauline's influence I have loved listening to early music since. I often think back fondly on our conversations.

Condolences to Arthur, Katharine, Simon, Lisa and Fiona. I know she was so very proud of you all.
My sincere condolences to all of Pauline’s family. I had the privilege of working with Pauline in Drimnage. She was loved by both her colleagues and clients. From working with Pauline I know how much her family meant to her, along with her love for the Shetland Islands (I remember fondly her explaining the Lerwick Up Helly Aa festival to me). May Pauline Rest in Peace.
