We have fond memories of Peadar and John working on the bog with our father (Kit O Shea). We delivered the milk to Newbridge in the 1950s and Peadar was often given the job of taking the milk churns in the pony and cart to the town. There were many tales of Peadar and the pony not seeing eye to eye on the journey.
Mr. and Mrs McGovern and the family lived at Sunnyside and were very popular in the area.
