Condolences to Peadar's family and relations on his passing. Peadar has left a lasting legacy in Bandon through his involvement with various clubs and associations, particularly BRFC, where his contribution was surely immeasurable. It is fair to say that at least one present day Irish rugby international would not be where he is without the promptings of Peadar o Mahoney all those years ago. And he was a decent and thorough gentleman. May he rest in peace

His shop window with the weekly team sheets were such a focal point and were scrutinised with keen interest by everyone from the club and no doubt spies from other clubs. He was such a pleasant person, he was kind to everyone and will be missed.

As a child growing up in Bandon I have super memories of the Leisure Store and the great Businessman that Peader was. I also have the lovely memory of only recently playing the guitar and singing a few songs with Peader in the hospital. He will be remembered as a community man and for his great application and love of Bandon Rugby Club. RIP Peader.
