Sincere sympathy to Martha and all the Callaghan family on Pearse,s passing. A lovely man who was always a pleasure to meet. I first met Pearse when I was on my summer holidays in the 50,s at my Grannies,Dowds at the Pound. I would have played hurling against him later when we both were adults. Throughout the later years we often met at GAA matches particularly Donegal matches RIP Pearse.

So very sorry to hear of Pearses passing. Pearse was one of lifes true gentlemen. He was known and loved by everyone, young& old whether it be to do with Gaelic or on his rounds in his famous grocery van. Nothing was any trouble if God rest Mammy Polly wanted anything Pearse got it for her and anyone else the next day. That was all before internet shopping was invented. He will be sorely missed by everyone.

Deepest sympathy to Martha, Ciara, Garret & extended families on the passing of Pearse. I first met Pearse when I was stationed in Newtowncunningham as a recruit Garda in 1974. Although I left there in 1979, our friendship has endured over the years. I last spoke to him on the 4th October on the phone. GAA was our common bond. While stationed there, I played for Burt GAA club. We travelled together to matches. Pearse had the distinction of scoring a goal & 3 points on the legendary John Doyle of Tipperary, in a Railway cup match against Munster in 1963. Pearse, you will always be in my thoughts and prayers. Rest in peace dear friend.

Sincere Condolences to Martha, Garrett, Ciara, Evelyn & all the extended family on the sad passing of Pearse. Myself & Brian had some great trips & memories travelling with Pearse to the Donegal matches & of course his weekly Tuesday afternoon calls to the house in the van. His work as he travelled in the van throughout the countryside provided an invaluable service to many for years, especially the elderly. Pearse, Rest in Peace.
