Peggy Buckley
(née O'Connor)

What a great lady! Wonderful community activist and interested in all aspects of Macroom life. She took every opportunity to contribute to it wherever possible. Cheerful, encouraging, courageous and determined, Peggy set a very high bar in the fashion and glamour stakes too and loved to " head out" to something or other in the evening. Her friendship was valued by all who knew her. Heartfelt sympathy to all the Buckleys, to Martin, Gerard, Tony and Ann; to their spouses and to Peggy's grandchildren and wider family. Ar dheis Dé go raibh sí.

We were so sorry to hear of Nana Peggys passing as she was so fondly know to us.We have many happy memories of getting Chtistmas lights in the shop and christmas candles. We had many happy celebrations in Coolcower , great sing songs and we can still hear our mother laughing and singing with Peggy.
