To Tony's family, I'm sorry to learn of the death of Tony, a classmate in Nenagh CBS at one stage and also a pioneer in the creation of the local soccer club before he headed to sea and later Kenmare hospitality.

My heartfelt condolences to Carmel, Shirley, Tony and all the extended families on the passing of my mentor Tony. I worked with him in the Great Southern Hotel in the 70s. His skill and craftsmanship in the kitchen was a wonderful and educational experience and we stayed in touch through the years having lovely meals at Rockvilla. Tony was called to serve the Queen Mary of the Heavens. May you Rest in Peace old friend. Apologies to the family, I was unable to make the funeral as I was out of the country.
