Very upsetting to hear about this, I hadn’t seen you in a while but I’m sure that was you the other night when I smelled cigarette smoke just before bed.

I have fond memories of being with you in one of your beautiful mercs.
Nose bags down the chipper.
You tried to get me into Gaelic football but I just wasn’t that kind of boy.
Either way, we had great laughs and that’s what I’ll remember.

I was so shocked and saddened to hear this news. My Dad Brendan Sheerin taught Peter in Scoil Assaim and then Peter later worked alongside my uncle in Eircom, so there were a lot of cross overs between our families over the years. In recent months Peter and I connected through our shared love of family history and in particular his rumoured Donegal roots which after many hours of research we firmly established and documented, much to his joy! Regrettably we didn't end up related. I will genuinely miss our chats about all things genealogical.
