Sincere sympathy to Eithne and family on Peter's sad passing. His loss will be felt hugely not only by his immediate family and close friends but also by anyone who ever had the pleasure of meeting him. As teenagers in the 1970s, Peter, Alan and Niall worked as part of a large crew for John Grimes at Ballaghstown - picking potatoes, planting cabbage etc. They were great times. Rest in peace, Peter.

Peter was a gem - I loved meeting him at my cousin John’s in Wimbledon - my husband Jim worked there also and met Peter regularly. There was always interesting chat, full of craic & cars. As lovers of Italy also, the conversation would be all about food, cars and La dolche vita. He gave those Italians in the Mille Miglia a run for their money in his little Fiat! He knew how to get the most out of life, loving an adventure but like the Italians loved his family more. We were so sorry to have missed his send off - but fittingly we watched it from Italy.
