Dear Catherine, Stephen and Fiona, Neasa and I were deeply shocked to learn of the untimely passing of your dear brother Peter. We would greatly like to have been able to express our sympathies to each of you personally but unfortunately we only heard of your tragic news tonight. I have the fondest memories of the mornings I met Peter heading off to work in the late 1970s full of mischievous fun and zest for life. His loss is a huge void in your lives but the many warm memories you share must be a kind comfort in this time of grief. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all and your wider family.

I am so saddened by our dearest Peter’s passing. He was a great friend and a truly wonderful spirit. I am deeply honored to have known and loved him. He is the only person in the world that would fly all the way from Ireland to surprise his friend in California. His adventurous and generous nature is an inspiration to all that knew him.

From the early days of growing up in school & church in Castleknock, we spread across the World, but that sense of friendship we developed in those early days is as fresh in our minds as if it was only last year, and that feeling we were as one big family. Our sincere condolences on Peter's recent and unexpected passing to his family and friends. The news has been greeted with sadness by his former colleagues at Citi. Peter was a valued and fondly regarded team member throughout his career where he was always happy to chat about political current affairs or his love of Leinster's performance on the rugby pitch. Since retiring it has been great to see him visit his many friends abroad, I will miss seeing his updates from abroad.
