Peter was a wonderful friend through the decades and was loved by all in our family. His calm strength, his steadfastness, and his lovely sense of humour are things we will always remember. Our deepest condolences to Helen. May he rest in peace.
I knew Peter from his days as the Chairman of the Youth Project Dun Laoghaire in the 1980s, a voluntary organisation he helped set up to look after young people at risk in the South Dublin area. Peter was a dedicated supporter of the YPDL and always sought to improve the lives of others. His generosity of spirit helped many young people improve their lives and his legacy lives on in the shape of Tivoli Training Centre as the YPDL is now called.
My condolences to Peters family and friends, may he rest in peace.

Our deepest sympathy to Helen at this sad time. Peter was a great friend for many years, a unique character with a quirky sense of humour and that voice would always hold your attention. He was also a good listener and had a solution for any problem.
Rest in peace Peter.
