Helen and family,
We are very sorry to hear about Peter’s death. We are in Rome and just heard about it last night. It was always such a pleasure meeting you both at all the Irish Club events and the Irish College. He was part of the welcoming Irish community that made these events sociable and enjoyable.
Sincere sympathy to you all at this difficult time.

My condolence to Helen and all her extended family with deep feelings.
Heartfelt condolences to Helen and family for your loss. Peter was such a gentleman, very kind and warm, and with a great sense of humour. I enjoyed my time on the Irish Club in Rome committee with him and many gatherings with Helen and Peter over the years.
Dear Helen,
I was greatly saddened to hear of the loss of your dear husband Peter.
Peter and I were at school together in the Jes in Sea Road. When we were about twelve years of age we were both into collecting model soldiers. Peter would often invite me to visit his home in Maunsells road where we would set out big battles in his wooden fort or use the parade ground for his figures and mine.
I also have happy memories of the visit my late wife Pauline and I made to Rome. We were impressed to hear that you were living near the Pope!
We greatly enjoyed the meal which we had with you and the city tour afterwards.
Peter lived a very full and fullfilled life. Myself and my family would like to offer you and your family our most sincere sympathies.

Dear Helen,
We would like to offer you our most sincere sympathy on the loss of your dear husband, Peter (R.I.P.)
Peter was a neighbour. We were at school together at St.Ignatius, and later tackled economics at UCG.We appeared on stage together under the
watchful direction of Fr. Peter Feeney.
Peter was always a kind gentleman, with a quiet manner, but extremely witty.
When in our teens a few of us played golf together for a while. It soon became abundantly clear that your husband had in him the stuff of a Lowry or McElroy, should he have had the time to devote to golf which he had already given so successfully to rowing as a sport.
We are thinking of you and your family at this sad time.
