We are all devastated having lost our father, Peter O'Clery suddenly earlier this week.
An amazing father (grandfather and great grandfather) and businessman whose thoughtful and kind approach made him respected by all. He always had time to help others and looked for ways to benefit the community.
In 2009, Dad was made a Member of the Order of Australia for service to the Australian tourism industry, particularly through the establishment and development of research and education centres, and to the community. (will share a write up of this in comments as explains his diverse work and community involvement)
Even whilst in his final days he was sharing ideas to assist family and community, and thinking of those around him ahead of himself. He leaves a legacy of ongoing successes across business and the community, as well as a strong and supportive family who will rally to support mum and each other.
His service details are shared below and a livestream will be available for those unable to attend. He asked us to celebrate and perhaps have a glass of Irish Whisky or Guinness 0%.
Thank you for the love, support and kindness shown to us all, and particularly to our mum as we navigate a very difficult time.
