My deepest condolences to the Corr family on the passing of a true gentleman with a huge heart who genuinely made time for everyone. I was deeply saddened and shocked to hear that Peter had left us. I had the privilege of being Peter’s neighbour for the last five years. I will always remember his warm smile & will miss the jingle of his keys and our doorstep chats. The Maltings has lost a dear friend & a great neighbour. May you rest in peace Peter.

I only just heard this morning that Peter had passed away. I am so sorry. I used to work with Peter in Irish Distillers / Pernod Ricard. I have great memories of him. He always made me laugh and feel better.

To the Corr Family, we are so sorry for you on the loss of someone who was a good friend to us c. 30 years. Peter was universally popular and for good reason. We never had a bad time in Peter's company and he had a canny knack of making you feel like you were the only other person in the room. Peter is the person who introduced us to many of the good things in life and his kindness, humour and heavy hand when it came to pouring a gin will not be forgotten. The last week has been full of sadness for us but also full of happiness as we look back at old photos and reminisce about great times with a great pal.

I was so very, very sad to hear of Peter's passing last week. Peter was a true gentleman both on and off-shore, taking an interest and showing kindness to everyone he met along the way. Always doing this with a smile and a "Peter hearty" laugh. He was the life and soul of so many Irish Distillers, Long Mountain, Midleton Academy experiences and on a personal note, of our Thursday and Sunday races and various trips to Cork Week (Sailor and Chef!). It was lovely to see and hear Peter's funeral mass reflecting his elegant and classic approach to life both in its prayers, music and kind words about Peter. We have very fond memories of Peter sailing, socialising & also guiding the Muckley & Fleming clan through various airports to Lake Bled for our wedding. Perhaps the fondest memory of all is of Christmas night at 85 Main Street … the highlight of our Christmas Day (particularly my granny Una’s) was the ringing of the doorbell that evening … signifying Peters arrival.
He lit up the room wherever he went … a true character & gentleman. We miss you deeply but will never forget you. Rest easy Pete.

I was privileged to have had Peter as a good friend for more than 25 years when we both worked for World Brands Duty Free. Peter came on secondment from Irish Distillers and we hit it off immediately. It’s fair to say he’s one of the reasons I love Ireland so much. Some of my happiest times were spent with him. Either in Dublin - Xmas shopping on Grafton Street, a quick drink at the Shelbourne Hotel ‘for the journey home’, then a hot whiskey at his local, Gleesons in Booterstown. We often went to his ‘club’ the Royal St George Yacht Club in Dun Laoghaire. Then latterly visiting Midleton where I was always warmly welcomed into his circle of many friends as either ‘Joanne from England’ or ‘Joanne from over the water’. The funniest, smartest, most generous and stylish person you could ever wish to meet and I’ll miss him so much. Goodbye my dear friend.

A light has gone out in all our lives but there is a brighter star in the sky watching over us. Privileged & proud Peter that you were my friend & in my life for over 40 years. Deepest condolences to Corr Family

Peter lit up Gleesons of Booterstown with his personality in the 80’s,90’s and 00’s when he lived around the corner when in Dublin. My parents Frank and Nora founded Gleesons and they thought the world of Peter.. . It was a such a pleasure to call Peter and also his colleague Shane Vaughan regulars in Gleesons.
Wonderful to see and hear them sample and talk about a new spirit launched , (especially a whiskey)… I really feel guilty not spending more time with them enjoying their company on the other side of the bar.. .. Rest in Peace Peter.

I joined IDL in 1996. Peter was a really great support to me to, he accelerate my introduction to the company and nearly know more about wines than whiskey in my first year ! I will always remember him for his warmth, friendship and support over these years. I was delighted to see him return to IDL in 2016. Despite my very few visits to Midleton, meeting Peter was always the highlight of my visits. I will miss him dearly.
