My Dear Geraldine Lorraine Derek Gary Cathy and Stuart and also Lily Pauline and Patrick and all Peter’s family and friends It was with genuine and heartfelt sadness I heard of Peter’s death. Peter was someone who was a huge part of our life in Dublin. A friend and also yourself Geraldine who was always there to help us and who we shared many happy times with in Hollybank Road and Clonliffe Road. I thought of ye often and hold those memories of our happy days in my heart forever. Peter Fought the good fight, kept the faith and won the race and now it’s his time to pass on to rest in peace and love in his heavenly home until ye are all reunited. May ye be Blessed and comforted and look after each other. You were a lovely family and it was a pleasure to have known and meet ye All. Please accept my apologies for being unable to attend. Geraldine and family, I'm so very sorry to hear of your sad loss. I only got to know Peter in the past year. He was always kind and patient with me and we had many lovely chats about his childhood in Galway, moving to Dublin, his years spent building in Meath and Dublin, hurling and his friends in the Boys club. He always said he was a lucky man to have you in his life Geraldine. He was a proud family man. It has been an honour and a privilege to have known him.
