Sad to hear of Peter’s passing.A lovely and elegant man
Greetings, Please accept my sincere condolences on the death of your father. Unfortunately, I never had the pleasure to meet him. I did, however meet his beloved Ida on her quest for all things ‘Irish made’ Georgian period silver through my work in O’Reilly’s Auction Rooms. Ida was one of those rare people with a great depth of knowledge in that area and who was a published author on the subject. I remember David your kindly smile when we were at St.Gerards School in the same decade many moons ago.You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Martin Bernon.
Dear Sandra and family. My sincere sympathy to you on the death of your beloved Dad. RIP. I didn't know them during our schooldays in HCK but I got to know him and your Mum Ide during my time as PA to RTÉ DG Vincent Finn and through the Piano competition. May he rest in eternal peace. Beverly (class of '75 HCK)
Condolences.
It is with deep sorrow that I offer you my sincerest condolences on the passing of Peter. To have cared for him and shared moments in his company was both an honor and a privilege. He was, in every sense, a true gentleman — a man of integrity and kindness, whose dignity and humor left their mark on all who knew him. I will always remember the ease with which he could turn any conversation into one filled with wit and light.
My heartfelt sympathy extends to David, Sandra and Mandy, also Charlotte, his grandchildren, and the entire family. You have always shown me warmth and generosity.
Adios Peter, feliz viaje.

I have the warmest memories of Peter Delamer since when he interviewed me and I joined Technico in 1982. He was always courteous, kind, and ever the perfect gentleman. A wonderful man to work with.

My sincere condolences to the Delamer family on the sad passing of Peter. I have very fond memories of sitting next to him at dinners associated with the piano competition. He was always interested in those around him and yet had so much to contribute himself. May he be forever reunited with Ida. My thoughts are with his family and friends at this difficult time.
Wonderful memories of time spent with Peter and Ida at so many DIPC recitals and the gatherings associated with the competition.

Peter was the hallmark of a gentle and kind man.
With Ida, Peter was visionary in nurturing and strengthening the Dublin International Piano Competition, of which Ida was one of the four founders in 1988.
With Ida Peter created a lasting legacy that continues in all areas of the DIPC, including host families, hospitality and in particular care of the International Jury at which they excelled.
The DIPC is forever in their debt. May Peter’s gentle soul Rest in Peace.
Adrienne Carolan, Finghin Collins, Christina Appleby and all at the DIPC

I will always remember Peter with such incredible affection, remembering his wonderful smile, his great sense of humour, his extraordinary generosity, (his fabulous wine !!!!), his patience, his tolerance of all the madness that surrounded the many International Piano Competitions and his support of Ida as she organised so much for us. I send my deepest sympathy to Sandra, Mandy, David and all the family. The only thing that consoles me is that he is with his beloved Ida again.
On behalf of the Irish-Austrian Society and on my own part, may I express our deepest condolences to the Delamer Family on your bereavement. May Peter, a true gentleman, rest in peace.
