Very sorry to hear of Peter's death. Although our paths hadn't crossed for some time he was always a pleasure to meet. To Faith and all the Ponsonby family I send my sincere sympathies.

Peter’s impact on my life, particularly during my childhood at Kilcooley and Grove, was formative. I am deeply grateful for the genuine care, interest, and encouragement he so generously gave. May he rest in peace.

We will sorely miss the "fall guy" as he called himself while judging at many a cross-country couse, particularly Ballindenisk. He always stopped for a chat to us and his wit and good humour was something we loved. RIP Peter. I hope Heaven is stocked up with Cadbury's purple snack biscuits!!
