Sincere condolences to peters family we were cousins growing up we were friends who rode motorbike🏍 rip peter so sad so young to leave us .

Peter and I sailed together on Heatwave during 2018 and 2019- he calmly helmed, and I 'tweeked' and trimmed the sails. We both really enjoyed it. He taught be how to work fibreglass and epoxy, and how to seal the deck holes for gear. He taught me about antifoul, boat trim, safety, risk taking, and delightful fun. I miss him immensely. My sympathy to all of his family.

Will always remember Peter's kindness and patience on Heatwave.

My condolences to Peter’s family at this sad time. Peter and my parents were next door neighbours for many years. Peter was very kind to my mother Kathleen when my Dad Liam was terminally ill in Beaumont. He drove her home from her daily hospital visits when we couldn’t be there. I have never forgotten that. May Peter rest in peace.

On behalf of the Skerries E-Boat fleet, I would like to extend the sincere condolences of all Skerries E-Boat sailors to Teresa and the Duggan family on their great loss.

Over 20 years ago Peter was responsible for encouraging Skerries E-Boat sailors to travel to CYBC to participate in E-Boat events there, including the national championships. We have been travelling to CYBC ever since. He was the anchor that kept a very close relationship between the two clubs going to this day.

Peter was a true gentleman, a steadfast sailor, and a valuable member of the E-Boat community. He will be greatly missed by his E-Boat friends in Skerries.

Much love to Claire, to Niamh and to Teresa and all who knew and loved Peter. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam. May the coming days, weeks and months be gentle and full of fond memories and anecdotes about Peter and his life.

I was a colleague of Peter for many years at Clontarf sailing club. He was one of the most understated but multiskilled member of our club whether racing Heatwave, boat preparation, running a very efficient junior sailing course-not for the fainthearted‐ etc. etc. My sympathy and best wishes to all family members. You can all be justly proud and privileged to have known Peter.

We will miss him sadly as we have known him since he joined the E-boat class with Heatwave in which he excelled in so many races.
When it came to the CYBC club quiz his family table was difficult to beat.
The E-Boat is a lively boat and there can be situations in a race where others would panic and become excited but Peter would always remain calm and use his sailing and people skills to quickly resolve the situation.
A testament to his enthusiasm for sailing was how he competed in the 2024 E-Boat National Championship and the Poolbeg Regatta (First prize)
May his gentle soul rest in peace.

Also a former sailor on Heatwave, Peter was so patient when teaching a rookie. I have some great memories and photos when I had the chance to take them.

I was desperately sad to see him at the Bons. Peter didn't deserve this but he had a great attitude to his diagnosis.

My deepest sympathies to Terssa, Claire and Liam on the death of Peter. I sailed with Peter on Heatwave for nearly 6 years and learnt so much from him as much about life as sailing. He was such a gentleman with a great sense of humour. He will always be remembered so fondly.

One of the good guys , there was both solace and wit in his quiet company , everything was observed and the nuances of any situation always murmured in a quiet , jovial way that belonged singularly to Pete , all our condolences to his family and friends .
