He was a tremendous O Rahilly clubman from treasurer to chairman to groundsman to trainer and everything else that needed to be done. Nothing was a problem. He just did it. Such a likable rogue. It is with the greatest sadness, that we learnt of the death of Pip.
A man, who was not only a gentleman but had so much humour that kept people laughing day in and day out. He had a big heart but also had a character that didn't put up with any nonsense and would tell you that to your face if you crossed him. Even in his last year, he was so positive, hiding the inevitable that made him the man that he was, laughing and conversing with all that came in contact with him, having a flutter on the horses and warming the hearts of all that came into contact with him. Our sincere condolences to all the family as he will be greatly missed, but never forgotten. RIP Peter.
