Pauline, I am so sorry to hear about the death of Peter.
I have fond memories of Peter when I lived in Baltray. Also our time in Termonfeckin school.
I would have met him occasionally in Drogheda in latter years. Always a smile and just a lovely and gentle person.

I’ve fond memories of chats with him in the village or when he would take a lift into Drogheda. I was always amazed at his memory for dates and numbers. Rest in Peace Peter 🙏

I was years on the missions and when I arrived home at Dublin airport, Peter was at the bus stop. I recognised him and asked him did he remember me. Yes, he said you are Tom Branigan’s son. He could name all my sister’s… I was amazed!!

Before he died, I was on hospital duty in the Lourdes Hospital. As soon as he saw me, he gave me a nice smile of recognition and I was blessed to offer him the sacraments. Such a gentle, peaceful soul.

Very sad to see the passing of Peter whom we got to know very well through his late sister Moira and her husband Paddy. Peter was a remarkable man in many ways with a prodigious memory of past events and dates. Our deepest condolences to the greater Freeman and O`Brien families. May Peter rest in peace.
