Peter Gunning

I have just heard of the sad passing of Peter. I extend my sincere sympathy to his wife and family. We grew up at the same time in Drimnagh. He was always friendly and happy. May Peter rest in peace.

Sadly I have not seen Peter since I left Walkinstown in the early 70’s but recall him being central to our junior hurling with StColumbas HC in the late 50’s; a dedicated gentleman then too.
He will always be remembered in our prayers.

To Margaret, Kevin, Jacinta and the wider Gunning family. So sorry that I am only hearing about Peter's passing in recent days. My deepest condolences to you all at this sad and most difficult time. Peter was such a true gentleman and I enjoyed our many chats while travelling on the bus when he was working for Dublin Bus. He had a keen interest in Tallaght and how it was developing from a village to a city. He will be sadly missed! May Peter rest in peace.

Will always remember him when it came to the hurling and football if a player wasnt do well he would nearly go look for them to tell them his thoughts it was very funny his humour like that.
