Deepest sympathies to Tony, Breda and all of Peter's family.

I was in Peter's year in Glenstal from 2005 and 2008. We ran into each other again in 2015 when we were both studying in UCD, and we would occasionally meet for lunch in Belfield campus. I was shocked and saddened to hear of his passing. He was a really smart guy, always a gentleman and had a great sense of humour.

My sincere sympathies to Tony, Breda and all of Peter's family at this incredibly difficult time.

Peter was such an intelligent, funny and decent guy. I have very fond memories of our time as classmates in UCD. In particular, he was often the designated driver to exams down at the RDS where on the way he would calm everyone's nerves with his quick-witted humour. More recently, we regularly crossed paths down in the Four Courts where I could see he was at the beginning of a successful career at the Bar.

Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
— Ciara Browne (Law, UCD 2015)

Our deepest sympathy Tony, Breda, and the extended Hamilton/Mannion Families at this very sad time in all your lives. We had the pleasure of getting to know Peter during our time together in UCD. Since then he has had a profound effect on our lives and was an incredible friend.

Peter was witty, fun, and above all else loyal. He was quick to provide a story or bring you back down to earth when needed. It still doesn't feel real, and we will miss him as a part of our lives. Others here will note to his professional skills and many accomplishments but above all Peter was a wonderful person.
