I've known Peter as a friend since our early teenage years in Mayo Sailing club. I will miss Peter's amazing wit, humour and incredible ability to capture your attention when telling a story. I was in Peter's year in Glenstal from 2005 and 2008. We ran into each other again in 2015 when we were both studying in UCD, and we would occasionally meet for lunch in Belfield campus. I was shocked and saddened to hear of his passing. He was a really smart guy, always a gentleman and had a great sense of humour.

Peter was such an intelligent, funny and decent guy. I have very fond memories of our time as classmates in UCD. In particular, he was often the designated driver to exams down at the RDS where on the way he would calm everyone's nerves with his quick-witted humour. More recently, we regularly crossed paths down in the Four Courts where I could see he was at the beginning of a successful career at the Bar.

I had the pleasure of meeting Peter a few years ago when I was working in EY and Peter was working in The Irish Times. He was very good at what he did in his work and was very smart. I caught up with him at a wedding a couple of months ago – always a great guy to catch up with and he will be remembered for the gentleman that he was. Rest In Peace.
