Sincere sympathy to Bridie and to Peters family .
I met Peter when I worked in Ulster Bank Ranelagh .He was so kind to everyone and a gentleman .
We had plenty of chats and laughs and slagging about the GAA.
His Christmas Card was first to arrive every year without fail and always a few words included with any news .
May he rest in peace .
So very sorry to hear of Peter’s passing. I only heard it today. My sister Oonagh died 19 years ago and he never once forgot her Anniversary. He always had a Mass said for her and for me always a card at Christmas. I never met a more thoughtful person. Sleep well my friend in the arms of Jesus.
Peter, will miss our chats putting the world to right. One of life's gentlemen. Will always have the memory of you and Bridie heading off to a Dublin game in you blue tops. Sleep in eternal peace. Deepest condolences to your family.

I was very sorry to learn of Peter's recent death. To his family, his wonderful companion and his soulmate Bridie, I offer you all my sincere sympathy on his sad passing. Peter was a true gentleman in the best sense of the word. A great collegue to work with over many years. Always giving of himself to staff and customerrs alike - kind and helpful at all times. He was well regarded in Ranelagh village by all who knew him. He was my "eyes and ears " there. Aways obliging, he was my personal "shopper" when I required items from town. I enjoyed my many chats with him on various subjects but in particular he loved his sport, especially his "hoops" and Dublin GAA.
A lovely man may he now rest in peace.
Peter was one of a kind and the epitome of a Gentleman. His smile lit up any room. I had the privilege of having many interactions with Peter through UB Ranelagh over many years in the 90's/early '00's. He watched over everyone that was lucky enough to cross paths with him. Like so many we received Peter's Christmas card every year without fail, always with a personal few words. Condolences to Bridie and Peter's family. RIP.
Sincere condolences to all the family. Peter’s passion for the Dubs was infectious & my late Dad thoroughly enjoyed Peter’s phone calls after games. There will be a physical space empty on the Hill now. Ni bheidh a leitheid aris ann. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis
A most kind and caring colleague with great regard for staff and customers. He was very popular in Ranelagh Village with a kind word for all My sincere sympathy to all Peters family and his beloved Bridie, a great lady.He was a huge supporter of the Hoops and the Dubs but, sadly, not the Rossies. He is forgiven. Joe Moran
So sorry to hear of Peter's passing always enjoyed chatting to him about The Dubs
I was so sorry to hear the news of Peter’s passing. Peter was the first person I met when I arrived at Ulster Bank in Ranelagh for my first day many moons ago. Peter was the heart and soul of the branch and we shared many laughs over the years. Peter knew everyone in the village and everyone knew him. He was always dressed to the nines and you could see your reflection in the shine of his shoes! I shall miss my Christmas card that arrived every year without fail with a note remembering my late mum and asking after my children. Peter was one in a million. I shall always remember the jokes we shared and the chats about the Dubs and Rovers. Sending all my love to Bridie and Peter’s family. RIP Peter. x
So saddened to hear of Peters death

Hearing of the passing of Peter brought a tear to my eye. I worked with him in UB Ranelagh from 1991 to 1998. I remember clearly the friendly face and big smile that opened the door to me on my first day in Ranelagh. He truly was a gentleman, nothing was too much trouble for him. He was a friend to all the staff, helping us all out in different ways, as well as carrying out all his banking duties to the very highest standard, and he was always turned out in an impeccable manner. Since 1998 his was the first Christmas card that arrived at our home every year, always accompanied by a letter with an update on other UB Staff.

To Bridie and his family I offer my very sincere sympathies. May the light of heaven shine on his gentle soul. RIP.
