I have great memories of Peter collecting me for matches in Navan and beyond,from the age of 11 and upwards bringing me to International matches and turning a child into a man .Thanks Peter and I know you faced life as a man and left as a warrior.To Junior, Caroline, Niall Ruth and Karl and family's my deepest sympathy and prayers.Rip Peter.

A quiet and gentle man, Pete will be missed on so many fronts round Navan RFC, not least for that rarest of qualities found in rugby clubs, Pete was a good listener and at the same time deeply knowledgeable about the game.

A gentleman, a mind of information and just a really nice guy.
I was sitting behind him with my family in the club house when Ireland won the grand slam in the most amazing circumstances in 2009, and Peter's face was just the picture of joy.
