Dear Jill, I was sad to hear the news recently of Peter’s passing. It was a treat to meet you both when you visited Dublin.
Peter’s wisdom, advice and support was greatly appreciated. Unfortunately there are not many people like Peter.
With love to you and Peter’s family. Mary

To the Hoopers - some of you will be old enough to remember the Kellys from just down the road on Ballinclea Road. Myself, Ian and I think Neil were in class with Laurence, David and Stephen. Have really fond memories of you all and am thinking of you and your mother Jill at this tough time. I really didn't realise that Peter was such a big player in the banking sector in America and Ireland - he certainly has left a fantastic legacy. The eulogy was fantastic and sums up the family life very well, certainly the bits us Kellys were involved in up until 1982 when you moved to the US. I very occasionally pass by the old Hooper house in Ballinclea Heights and have really fond memories from back then. My thoughts are with you in this sad time. Best wishes and regards, MARK KELLY

I am so sorry to hear about Peter. I worked with him in New York in the late 80s. He was a lovely man, so pleasant to deal with and had a wry sense of humour . May he rest in peace.
So sad to hear of Peter's death. Our deepest sympathy to Jill and all the Hooper family. Peter & Jill visited us visited us in Sept 2018, in Glenrue, Ireland and we had a wonderful few hours of discussion on family history. A wonderful gentleman in every way, both he and Jill travelled by car, over 300 miles round journey to visit us. Peter thought nothing of driving that journey, despite his great age, but we were so delighted & honoured to see both of them, little thinking, it would sadly be, his final visit!! Slán, a Pheadair, agus i bhFlaitheas Dé d'anam anois i gcomhludar na Naomh uilig!!
My deepest sympathies to you Jill and your family on the sad passing of Peter. May he rest in peace.
