Peter Linden

I was very sad to hear that Peter has passed away. We have not had contact for many years, but I still miss him. I also miss the contact with his family.
Peter was a great guy. His importance for carpets in Ireland was substantial.
All my thoughts go to the family.

Sincere condolences to Celine, Suzanne, Jenny and to all of Per's extended family.
From our first visit to the shop over 30 years ago "just looking", up to a visit to our home late in 2022, Peter happily and generously shared his expertise and love for rugs with us, regardless of whether we were buying or not.
Calling into the shop was always a pleasure, and we thoroughly enjoyed his last visit to us. As always, he left us smiling, continuing to make light of his illness.
All our buys have been warm, colourful and unique, and all continue to be much loved reminders of an exceptional Irish Swede.

I have just heard the sad news of Pers passing. I had the pleasure of meeting him while working with KMS Fine Art Auction House. He was so knowledgeable in his field. I wish I had 1/10 of his knowledge. Condolences to his dear wife & Family. May he rest in peace.

So sorry to hear of Per's passing, through him three generations of us have a great appreciation for rugs.

Dear Celine, Suzanne, Jenny, and all your families, my heartfelt sympathies to all of you on the recent passing of Pers, which came as a great shock to me.

Pers for me is always associated with music, fun and laughter, and I always think of him with a smile. It was a great tragedy that he had such a hard time with his illness in the last few years.

I am so sorry I could not with you all today, as I tested positive for Covid yesterday. However, I watched the service online today, and the singing, spoken tributes and the slide show made for a beautiful send off for Pers, which I found very touching.

It is great for you all to have such lovely and loving memories of such a wonderful, talented, and unique man.

May he rest in peace.

We wish to express our deepest sympathy to Celine Suzanne and Jenny on the passing of Per a true gentleman who had such a loving warm charm and most friendly to everyone who passed his way

I am so sorry to learn of Per's death. I knew nothing about Oriental Rugs and Carpets before I heard a lecture by Per over 30 years ago in the National Gallery where I first heard about his beloved Dobags. I caught the 'rug bug' that night and became a regular visitor to Blackrock and later began to take groups of teachers there as part of Summer courses-hundreds over the years. All agreed that he was a gifted communicator and in a morning visit could transmit a huge amount of information on a complex subject such was his enthusiasm and expertise. I have a few rugs which will be a constant reminder of his presence.
It has been a life enhancing experience to know Per and he will be much missed. Sincerest sympathy to Celine, Suzanne and Jenny and all the extended family

To Celine and family, my sincere condolences on Peter’s death. Very sad news this morning. A perfect gentleman and a wonderful expert in his field. I look at my antique rug purchased years ago and remember Peter with fondness. RIP.

Dreadful news today about Per's passing. A total gentleman, always willing to share his exceptional knowledge in a way anyone could understand, I look at pieces that he advised me on every day and think of him. Our sincere condolences to Celine and all the family.
