We have many happy memories of Peter in the early 60's cycling to Bellharbour and helping out on the farm, saving the hay etc during his college years. He was a great worker, but an equally great yarn spinner - a wonderful storyteller! He loved to climb Corcomroe Abbey Hill and surrounding areas of interest.
Peter will never be forgotten for his compassion, as he bravely made the journey to our sister's funeral during Covid times and prior to the vaccine rollout. We will always hold him in high regard for the empathy he showed to family in difficult times, despite his own ailments.
May Peter now reap the rewards of his earthly good deeds and Rest in Heavenly Peace with his dear family gone before him.

He had a huge passion for general knowledge, and I look back fondly on our 'training sessions' when he unselfishly gave up his lunchtimes to prepare us so well for various quizzes! He was always a gentleman in the years that followed when we would meet around town. May he rest in peace.

I remember I went cycling to Lahinch and beyond with him. We got talking about retirement and Peter was giving me advice about the importance of having a nice nest egg put away. I asked him if he had one. He replied that he had a large nest egg but unfortunately there was no egg in it.
