As we grew up in Coleman Road, Peter being older than most of us was the one we looked up to with a respect which his personality earned. He was blessed to belong to such a wonderful family and then made his own good fortune through hard work and commitment. And in the process made so many good friends as is indicated by those who have left so many warm messages on this site. May Sadie and family be consoled in their great loss by the many happy memories which no doubt Peter has left them.

Shocked and saddened to hear the sad news of Peter's sudden passing. Got to know Peter many years ago when we used to have athlete meetings in the back room of the pub. When I was in Tesco kept the boxes for him at Christmas for the hampers , which he was so appreciative of. Last thurs night we was out with us in woodies talking to us. Peter was such a friendly gentleman that did alot of work no one knew about. My sincere condolences to Sadie and all the family on your very sad loss.
